Dear All,
We use Altiris Deployment Server 6.9 to manage our clients. It has a nice feature to wake up a client.
The Deployment Server 6.9 is running as a VM on a ESX 4.1 server. Since quite some time we are not able to wake up any client. It was working before fine even when the server was a VM.
I'm wondering, if it is has to do with the ESX server.Since it is not working for some time (perhaps 6 - 9 months), I cannot really say what has changed.
Thanks,
Edy
Did the portgroup or vswitch setting change? Different VLAN with different settings on the pSwitch side? MAC forgery or promisc mode no longer enabled?

Thank you!
It was indeed the port switch promisc mode rejected.
