vCenter Hardware upgrade

We have just upgraded to vSphere and in the process of updating the vmware tools and hardware version to vSphere.

We have set up a shedules task to tackle the virtual images. i have just realised the vcenter which is a virtual image has the right vmware tools but need a hardware upgrade . i am not sure how to go baout this do . should i just remedite it ... will it just work

That thread is correct but you still need to change things in the vm to enable the new features if you're upgrading a machine from version 4. Scott lowe did a blog posting of what to do here: http://blog.scottlowe.org/2009/06/01/vsphere-virtual-machine-upgrade-process/
