i have found serial port is configured on , one of the VM, following is the snap of the same.

Just want to , serial port is required for which devices????

Usually you see the serial port as a result of a P2V and not removing it from the VM.

Why is it necessary?  These days it probably isn't, but there were days when we still used modems on serial ports (among other things).  By presenting a serial port to the VM you could pass through the device that was attached to the host server's serial port directly to the VM.

Again these days it isn't really all that useful and you can probably just shut down the VM and remove it.
