Jumbo Frames through to the guest OS

I have a DBA that is telling me that jumbo frames should be turned on at the guest OS level for SQL server. We use jumbo frames between the ESXi host and SAN over 10GB connection. Can anyone validate this? Is there any performance improvement from doing this?

Yes, you can. Two considerations - Need to have Jumbo Frames configured end-to-end in the environment and use VMXNET3 adapter on the VM.
