USB adapter not recognized by VMware Workstation 10

Hello!

I'm trying to use a USB wireless adapter within a guess OS but VMware doesn't seem to recognize the USB as a connectable device... Windows lists it as a USB device, even give me the option to "remove safely" but can't see it listed... Only device actually showing up is my keyboard Smiley Sad

I've using bridge mode as a workaround but that has been problematic so i'm looking to really connect it inside the guest!

Any ideas? Or am I fighting a lost cause....

Host OS: Windows 2012 R2

VMware Workstation 10 (latest)

USB adapter: Realtek RTL8188RU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB

edit: I tried following this guide but still not working: VMware KB: Automatically connecting USB devices at virtual machine power on

Thanks!
