Hello
I need run 100 vmware guest OS
but can start only 64 - and after, vmware workstation cant run more.
i tried on windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 - host OS
Vmware 9 and 10 with XP as guest OS
who know? may be on any Linux as host OS VMware Workstation, can run more than 64 guest OS.
Or like how run 2 independend Vmware workstation on 1 host OS.
P.S. all resources for that i have - 12 core CPU 128GB RAM
P.S.S.
some screens
http://i.epvpimg.com/iZLYg.png
1. screen when try run from GUI vmware workstation
2. screen when try run from vmrun.exe from console
P.S.S.S. problem not with hardware resorces
on 6 core + 64GB = run 64VMs too - and cant run more
so on 12 core + 128Gb RAM = resources i have MANY FREE
i not need ESXi stop say me about ESXi
VMWARE workstation only i need.
imposiible run more 64VM on vmware workstation?
or may be even know some hacks?
also will try RUN 63VMs
and in 64VM install VMware workstation
so will have 63+64VMs
or 62+64+64VMs
Thanks all
I do not believe you will be able to nest workstation inside a workstaion VM - and even if you can you will not be able to access the graphics card - your only solution is ESXi -
ok, ESXI but i cant use desktop video card for hardware 3D ((
Correct - you will have to use one of the following cards::
Supported Configurations
Currently, vSphere supports DirectX v9 and OpenGL 2.1 applications running in both Windows 7 and Windows 8 VMs. vSphere 5.1 provides virtualization support for a range of Nvidia GPUs. Currently, the supported GPUs are:
• Quadro 4000
• Quadro 5000
• Quadro 6000
• Tesla M2070-Q
• Grid K1
• Grid K2
