When I tried to install Windows 10 Pro on VMware Fusion 8, the Easy Install process runs normally for a while then crashes with "VMware Fusion has encountered an error."
I've submitted a Support Request, but have other users encountered this with the Easy Install process?
(Support information is attached.)

Hi Douglas,
It looks like a problem with your graphics driver or graphics card:
vmware.log says that it was the SVGA thread that crashed:
2015-09-02T07:16:47-06:00[+10.606]| svga| W115: Caught signal 6 -- tid 38927 (addr 7FFF914E9286)
/var/log/system.log shows that the host driver needed to restart the GPU a few seconds later:
Sep 2 07:16:56 Douglass-Mac-Pro kernel[0]: NVDA: GPU error detected!
Sep 2 07:16:56 Douglass-Mac-Pro kernel[0]: NVDA: Calling gpusKillClient for task 0xffffff80727586d0
Sep 2 07:16:56 Douglass-Mac-Pro kernel[0]: NVDA(OpenGL): Channel timeout!
Sep 2 07:16:56 Douglass-Mac-Pro kernel[0]: NVDA: Channel Info: [47, 0x31, 0x14, 0x1ca5ef]
Sep 2 07:16:56 Douglass-Mac-Pro kernel[0]: NVDA: Version Info: [com.nvidia.web.GeForceWeb, 10.0.5, 0x5e5f4c655b, 19862786, 346.02.03f01, 1]
Plenty of other folks are also encountering problems with Fusion 8 and aftermarket graphics cards and/or the Nvidia web driver here: Fusion 8.0 conflicts with Nvidia web driver for Mac
Workarounds from that thread: Try disabling 3D acceleration for the virtual machine. Try uninstalling the Nvidia web driver and returning to the builtin OS X driver. If you're using an aftermarket graphics card, try reinstalling the original one.
Cheers,

Darius:
Thank you again, as always!
Do you have any idea when the issue will be fixed?
It looks like we'll have to report this issue to Nvidia and/or Apple for them to resolve. It's possible that our 3D graphics folks could find a workaround that we can implement in a future Fusion release, but I don't yet have any information to suggest the likelihood of that happening.
Cheers,
