Perhaps a blessing in disguise. I've read that with Windows 10, setting up a VM using the Boot Camp partition will break the Win 10 activation.

Interesting . that was the only reason i wanted to buy vmware fusion was to use my bootcamp partition without booting to it.

anyone have anyother reasons. so far unity isnt working and i'm not having much faith in vmware fusion 8 to spend the money.

virtual box seemed to be working find  for me.

Thanks for using Fusion, I don't have this issue on my three different Macs. Could you collect the support bundle and attach it here?

As this thread pointed out

https://communities.vmware.com/thread/518549

Denying all to the request it pops up actually makes this work.
