VMX Configuration File

I am trying to make a change to my vmx file in order to play games that require the mouse to be locked in the screen. I found instructions on how to do this in the VMWare Fusion release notes:

""In the virtual machine directory, add the following line to the end of the virtual machine's configuration (.vmx) file:

vmmouse.present = "FALSE" ""

However, I don't know where the VMX file is.

Does anyone know how to find it or if it is possible that I need to create one?

Go to where your VM is stored (usually ~/Documents/Virtual Machines) right(or ctrl)-click on the VM you want to change and select "Show Package Contents".

I have no Virtual Machines folder in Documents. The virtual machine was initially installed through bootcamp, if that makes a difference.

OK,

So the only thing in the bootcamp folder is a file named "%2Fdev%2Fdisk0".

This contains something called bootcamp with extension: .vmwarevm.

No .vmx file.
