Network connection drops?

I'm running Vista under Fusion 2.04 on my Mac Pro. It seems like I may have sporatic network connectivity issues. I have seen my connection to my ESX servers (via VI Client) drop for no reason. As I understand it, there is no default timeout for the VI Client so I am now looking at my workstation for clues.

Anyone see or experience anything like this?

What are your power settings on the MAC and Vista?

I assume that the MAC maintains connectivity to the network? You could set up a continuous ping to the ESX server on the MAC and see if that is maintained when you lose connectivity in the Vista client ... in that case we just need to look at the Vista client.

How long (roughly) is the VIC unattended before you lose connection?

I'm using always on, so that's not the case. I ran a ping between Mac OS X, the Vista guest and an XP guest and none ever dropped, but the VIC did drop on the Vista machine. The XP machine was fine, so I don't know what the issue is, but at least I know where to look.
