Create a new datastore

Hi folks,

Is it possible to mount a windows NTFS volume onto an ESX host(our case, ESX server 3.5) and configure this as a datastore???

Please help.

No this is not possible, however you could install and configure Windows Service for UNIX (WSFU) on the NTFS volume to configure a NFS volume.

As javacat pointed out you can not mount a NTFS datastore for ESX - you can have a virtual machine access a NTFS datastore on the SAN by using a Raw Device Mapping (RDM)
