RAID 0 suppport-1 drive

can we install ESX 4 U1 with RAID 0 is it supported other way cai i install ESX on single drive? supprted config?

I tested once ESX 4.0 without update and yes we can but you should first worry whether the hardware (scsi controller & etc) is supported by VMware or not.

So far, I never found VMware doc mentioned about unsupported RAID configuration except for scsi controller card. Worth check it out with VMware.. But you know right the downside of raid 0?

ESX installation on RAID 0 as well as single disk are supported. In fact all Hardware RAID levels are supported, since the installer doesnt check the RAID levels during installation. As Athlon mentioned, we just have to make sure that the SCSI\HBA controller is part of HCL.
