Next problem for power on a VM on a VM.

After configuration on nested VM, the VM now can power on, but got another issue:

Unable to connect to the MKS: Host address lookup for server host B failed: No such host is know.

Environment:

On vSphere 4.0 host A, set up 2 vSphere 4.0 B and C VMs. and put B and C on a cluster. on host B, set up a XP VM. After power on the XP VM, got the above error message.

George,

this error usually occurs due to a DNS resolution or firewall issue. Make sure your host and vCenter Server names can be resolved and take a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/749640 in case you have a firewall running.

Yes. you are right.

In fact, Host B and C are in DNS because it is for the configuration for cluster , but no A. Now, put A in DNS. It's well.

Thanks!

George
