Vcenter Upgrade Questions?

I know there probably is a discussion on this subject so sorry for asking again.

We would like to upgrade our current VICenter box to vcenter 4 without upgrading our ESX Host from 3.5 to 4 until a later date. Can vCenter manage 3.5 host? Is there anything we need to know about in advance if we go this route?

Thanks,

Kris

smooth...

is not that difficult. Anyway, you can manage ESX 3.x with vCenter 4, just remember to maintain somewhere your license server(VI3 was licensed by using a license server, and that has changed with the new versions of vCenter4 and ESX 4)
