ESX5i DNS Config

We completed the build of 2 ESX 5 U2 hosts and have not yet created any VMs.  The host DNS entries are set to all uppercase.  We used lowercase for all previous 4.0 host builds.  Can we change the DNS config now to all lowercase and reboot the 2 new ESX 5 hosts or is a complete re-install in order ?

since its not in production you can jsut change the DNS entries, no need to reinstall.

restart the mgmt agents or reboot after you are done.

DNS does not matter about lower or upper case.

DNS server, and domains could be changed without the hosts. But to change the host name, you need a reboot. So just plan it.

We renamed the dns as configured on the 5i host and restarted management agents.  All seems to be working OK.  Thanks for the reply.
