vSphere 5 and two IBM V7000

Hello,

We have a Datacenter with four vSphere 5.0 hosts and a vCenter, they are all connected to a SAN (one unique fabric), with three FC switches and two storages IBM v7000. Both v7000 are in a Metro Mirror config, we have Master LUNs in both of them. The point of this was to have redundancy at Storage layer. The question are:

-The Master and the Auxiliary LUN should be both mapped to the host? or only the Master wich is read/Write while Auxiliary is read only

-In case of one of the storage fail, what should be the best procedure? Does vmware detects the new auxiliary LUN which now is master since the mirror relashionship is broken, or I should manually detach and attach the new LUN? Should I keep the signature or not?

Thank you for any help.
