What is the purpose of Heatmap Color and Size Focus drop-downs?

I am trying to understand what Heatmap "Color Focus" and "Size Focus" drop downs do?

I change them to non-relevant resources (IO when I am tracking Memory) and it doesn't seem to do anything?

What is there purpose?

The point of these is to allow easy filtering of the list of heatmaps.  They have no programmatic meaning (i.e. they're just text strings, so we assume you pick the right one for the heatmap you're creating).  They don't affect the visualization of the heatmap at all.  They're just for helping to sort and filter the list of heatmaps.
