How to make unified vMotion in 5.1 to work?

Inspired by all the latest activity in the net about unified vmotion or sharing nothing migration, vmware whitepaper .

Finally we've got latest builds of vSphere.

We’ve downloaded and deployed in a test lab the latest version of esxi 5.1 (799733) and vCenter (799731).

But still have no possibility to migrate powered on VM between two hosts which doesn’t have common set of datastores between them.

Migrate item in the menu points to the wizard, with 3 options. And the option “change host and datastore” still grayed for powered on vms.

Any guess how to make it work?

This only works with the new web client. I guess you are using the "old" fat windows client?

We didn't think that the main client for vSphere is going to be Web Client
