Adding a new vCenter issue - redirect to login page

This is a new deployment and I am trying to add a vCenter 

After populating the form with the endpoint, username and password clicking the ADD button a circle appears for about 5 seconds and then I get redirected to the UI Login page

I have tried 4.4, 4.5.01 both show the same behaviour

Due to the version of vCenter I cant deploy 4.6 / 4.7 due to the VMX version

I then tried upgrading the 4.5.01 to 4.7 and get the same behaviour

Also tried both the latest version of Chrome and Firefox

I cant find the logs files as they only seem to create when you have had a successful connection

any ideas why I cant add a new vCenter?

I have worked out the issue

This is being caused by the fact that I skipped the "Proxy Setup" after the initial login

I remembered that we previously had 3.6.1 and it was emailing reports 

Redeploying the appliance again as version 4.4 and setting it to OFFLINE mode has resolved my problem

Then updating to 4.5.01
