Hello, how can I protect the vCenter Server from failure using tools? Are there any proper backup software to protect all related configuration files without much manual work and easier recovery?
Thank you! :smileyblush:
Just be sure to backup the database and your certificates. KB 1023985 covers this in more detail.
Optionally, make vCenter a VM and take advantage of DRS, vMotion, etc.

Is it good to make a disk image of the vCenter Server? E.g. ARCServe, BESR, Ghost, etc.
Yes ..its a very good advantage of having vCenter on VM.You can take image level backup and your DB will also be backed up regularly if its on the same VM.Other way is to follow some backup policy for the vCenter DB and normal image image level backup of the vCenter Server (Monthly)
Because independant server is available, the vCenter Server is currently still setup individually. What backup tools are suitable for backing up the vCenter database and certificates DAILY?
You can use any of the software you mentioned previously. (Backup Exec, Net Backup, ARCServe, etc)
You can even schedule your SQL Server to perform a backup task and output the .BAK file to a different location (shared folder) and use whatever solution you are currently using.
