Building new VC 4.0 U1?

I am building a new VC server to replace the current VC server.

I currently have VC 4.0 with ESX 4.0.

We are not upgrading to ESX 4.0U1

My question is:

Should I build the new VC server with VC 4.0 U1? or VC 4.0?

thanks in advance!

Hello.

Generally speaking - I would go with U1, as if you ever decide to take the ESX hosts to U1 there will be one less step to take.

Good Luck!

Do you know of any issues running VC 4.0u1 with ESX 4.0?

Will I need to do any tools upgrades or anything like that?

No, its a supported configuration.

You don't have to do any tools upgrade - that will come along with the ESX upgrade.
