Adding VM back to inventory

i was having an iussue with a VM and i restarted teh management service on the host adn cince then the VM showed up as Invalid. I then tried to remove it from the inventory so i could re-add it and i don't have that option now when i right click the VMX file. Any thoughts on why or how to get it back to the inventory? Any htlp is appreicated. Thanks

Before you can register it back you forst have to remove it from inventory.

That was one of the first things i did was remove it from the inventory. Now when i right click the VMX file the add to inventory is greyed out. Does it matter that this VM is part of a pool? The attachment show the datastore files

You can try the following

1.) Bring the ESX Host on Maintenance Mode

2.) Login to ESX Host directly

3.) Browse the Storage and try adding to inventory

If this does not work then you might have to restart your ESX host and try the above steps
