I have created a simple XML plugin and embedded a bash shell script within it following some hyperic documentation examples. I load the plugin into HQ using the Plugin Manager -> Add/Update Plugin(s). It successfully deploys to a majority of my agents and I can see the script deploy under the pdk/work/scripts/<plugin_name> folder. I can run the script manually from the server and get the desired output. However, after adding the service to a platform within hyperic the plugin never reports metrics. I have tried not embedding the script within the plugin and manually placing the script under pdk/scripts/ folder and metrics were pulled back successfully. I would like to use the xml embedded script method for the convenience of not deploying the script to each server.
