Hyperic HQ services are not starting

Hi,

I have an issue in starting Hyperic HQ server services. When I try to start HQ server service it stop again with in second or two. I checked log file which shows.

Hyperic Server version: 4.6

Database : oracle 10g

Hi,

You are using a non supported version of Hyperic.

HQ 5.8.3 is the last official version and in a few weeks HQ 5.8.4 will be delivered.

1. Check in your hq-server.conf file that the jdbc connection is configured properly

2. Verify that oracle DB is up and running.

3. Try to ping to your DB server from the Hyperic server.

As mentioned in the previous reply, 4.6.x is no longer supported.  That being said check the format of the server.database-url value in the hq-server.conf to make sure it should work with your DB.  There may be listener, name or other settings that need to be adjusted.  Verify the jdbc url with your DB admin.
