Login Error. Could not fetch settings

I'm getting the following error on Wrapped Android Apps that haven't been opened before on the device. The error is displayed after tapping the Sign In button:

Login Error
Could not fetch settings. Please try after some time and if the problem persists, please contact your IT administrator.

Does anyone know what causes this error and how I can fix it?

I got the same issue in internal app with SDK.

SDK profile doesn't install to devices. I don't understand ' why?' . I set SDK profile for app, but profile does not send to device from DS.

Same error for me, with a custom SDK profile, only with Proxy tunnel settings applied. it seems that the creation of the proxy tunnel settings in custom sdk profile fails, it reflects when trying to view the sdk profile XML and it shows an error instead of the XML.

Any solution or  workaround anyone ?

In my case when I disabled the Airwatch App Tunnel in All Settings/Settings and Policies/Security Policies fixed the issue with the login error message.

This action was proposed while investigating another issue with vmware as we use vmware vpn tunnel and not Airwatch.
