Change cpu id in a virtual machine

Hello Team

 

I have a virtual machine and I want to spoof the Mac Address and the CPU ID. Is there a specific parameter in the vmx file in vsphere 7 to do it?

You can do this under "Edit settings" on the virtual machine you need to change this on.

Where can I change this?

In the Advancd - Coniguration Paramenters and is there a specific parameter or should I add One.

 

I want to migrate a machine from old to new cluster and I want to test if I can change the CPU ID to the default. So before I want to change cpu ID of a test clone machine.
