VMFS LUN extended

Our SAN guy "accidentally" extended one of our VMFS LUNS. Is there any issues or problems with leaving the VMDK files on this VMFS LUN?

Nope...you can't extend the VMFS volume, but having the extra space on the LUN won't hurt anything

Or you can:

Tell your SAN person to take back (the extra space), re-present it as a separate LUN, then extend on that as and extent.

Pretty Ghetto though, IMHO.

I would not wan't to use an extent, I'd rather have another LUN presented and formated as VMFS.
