VMware recommends "Choose a local datastore as the location for the virtual machine configuration file and the virtual machine disk (.vmdk) file. This must be eagerzeroedthick format. Note: The virtual machine configuration file and the .vmdk file should always be stored on the local disk."
Does anyone know why they recommed storing the disks locally. I'm using boot from san and do not have any local storage that I am using. Will I see any adverse affects if I store the .vmx and .vmdk file on the SAN?
