P2V:SLES9 64BIT not booting

Hello.

I converted my SLES9 64bit machine in a vm. When I choose the BusLogic Adapter, the vm boots, with the LSI-Adapter it doesn´t boot. I made a new initrd in the vm with both modules (mptscsih and BusLogic).

Thanks for your help.

I would switch to LSI, and boot up with the rescue disk, and see if I could fix the initrd right there. If you can boot up and fix your mappings, you should be good to go.

I tried this allready. But the VM doesn´t come up. The error was: waiting for /dev/sda3 to appear..... exiting to /bin/sh

sda3 is the root partition. With BusLogic it boots.

I have it.

There was the wrong driver in the /etc/sysconfig/kernel. I used the mptscsih, but the right driver is the mptspi.

New initrd and the vm came up.
