All, after DRS has moved machines, the cpu resources are pinged out or high.. I noticed the below article and the values wont stay in place....
My VC buid is 2.5.0 build 64192
any ideas?
The upgrade process is pretty straight forward. Just make sure you have a good DB backup as U4 will do a schema upgrade to the DB instance.
Also, you will have to upgrade your License Server separately and it can be found in the /vmx folder of the .iso for vCenter.
Following the upgrade guide, you should be ok.

Here's a good KB too, just in case.
have you thought about upgrading to atleast U2, the issue has been resolved there.
Thats my other issue, that build # i dont see anywhere online, just took on this companies vm stuff, need to find out what updates are applied, any easy way??
That's a weird build number, somewhere between base and U1. You have confirmed by clicking on Help---About VMware Infrastucture that that is in fact the build of your VMware VirtualCenter?
base was 64192 initially and changed for some reason. If you can, I would go to U4 it is very stable and introduces a new performance overview plugin.
I also think the upgrade will address the issues outlined in the KB that you are seeing.
one other thing... Maybe restarting your vCenter Server Service will allow you to make the changes outlined in the KB.
If not, at the service console of your ESX Host(s) issue
service mgmt-vmware restart.
Thanks for your help.. will award...
how are these updates applied? pretty easy, no issues? lol

thats a big upgrade guide!!! all that just to apply the update?
The upgrade guide covers a lot more than your vCenter upgrade. For ESX my personal preference is to do rebuilds, not upgrades.
