    ESXI version - 6.7.0

    Hi,

I need some help connecting to one of our Dell Hypervisors.

Connection from the web browser works fine.

Connecting from vCenter throws up the following error.

    ------

vSphere Client could not connect to “Hypervisor IP”.

An Unknown connection error occurred. (The client could not
send a complete request to the server.

(The underlying connection was closed an unexpected error
    occurred on a send.))

    ------

Any ideas how I can resolve this and connect using vSphere Client?

    Thank you

Need more details, screenshots, logs or anything. What you've provided is too generic to assist further without more details.

You're trying to use the legacy C# client to connect to ESXi 6.7, which has never worked and will not work at all. You must use the new HTML5 embedded host client accessible at https://<FQDN>/ui in a web browser to manage this ESXi host.

Thanks,So does that mean all new versions will only be accessible via https://

Which was the latest version to work with vSphere?

I'm trying to have all of our hypervisors listed on one screen in one window. Can this be done on the web browser?

Yes, this has been the case since 6.5. The absolute last version of ESXi that would work (not necessarily supported) with the now-dead C# client was 6.5 prior to Update 1.

Yes, use vCenter Server. This is what it's designed to do after all.

No that's fine for now thank you!

It must be said for the benefit of any one else facing the same problem, vCenter server requires a licence. Subscription prices are in the link below.
