Hi all,
I'm a new user in this community and I don't know if this is the right section to insert this question: in case my apologies.
I "inherited" a virtual server (Linux Centos 7) with too many RAM assigned (60 GB) and I need to reduce it to 16 GB and I have a doubt.
Is it sufficient turn off it and shrink the amount of RAM or are necessary other operations?
Many thanks in advance.
Diego
To answer your question, you should just need to shutdown the VM (so it is in a Powered Off state) then edit the memory allocation and power it back on.
Moderator: Please state which VMware product you are using so your thread can be moved to the correct area.

Moderator: Thread moved to the vSphere area, since this is a general vSphere VM administration question (rather than being specific to vCenter Server)
