Purple Screen of Death

Hello,

I am running a 4 servers cluster (Cisco C220 M4) with VMware vSphere 6.0 Build 3620759 and recently I had a purple screen. Can you help me knowing what would be the 'cause? I need to understand where I can start looking.

Gracias,

This is a known hardware issue that affects the supported versions of the ESXi host with the Intel Xeon processors E5 v4, E7 v4, and D-1500. This is not a VMware problem.

To resolve this issue, upgrade the system BIOS (firmware) to a version that has the following microcode patch revision level for its Intel Xeon processors:

CPU familyCPUID model (stepping)Required microcode patch revisionSupported ESXi version
Intel Xeon E5-2600-v4
Intel Xeon E5-4600-v4

ESXi 6.0 U1b or higher
Intel Xeon E7-8800-v4
Intel Xeon E7-4800-v4

For more information, contact your hardware vendor.
