Imported OVF files are very small so failing to export

How to take Virtual Machines backup from vSphere? My VM's hard disk size is 100GB

When I tried VM-> Export, it downloaded only 10Kb of OVF and 83Mb of disk-1.vmdk, with these I am not able to export, getting below error. Please help me in taking backup.

Failed to deploy VM: postNFCData failed: IO error

Hi,

sometimes exporting large files from GUI is impossible, specially if something is wrong with the network or host drivers or configuration.

Try to use the CLI tool - OVF Tool. Look at the User's Guide:

https://www.vmware.com/support/developer/ovf/ovftool-430-userguide.pdf
