I have a NVIDIA P40 graphics that is setup to HPE Server.
Running ESXi 6.7 on the HPE Server.
How to install the graphics driver on the server.
Is the VIB driver installed like K1 or K2?
I want to setup is P40.
it doesn't K1 or K2.
Hi,
Reading the official vmware document the "K2" is recommended for ESXi
Install the VIB for the NVIDIA Graphics Card on the ESXi Host
you can also check on the Nvidia website by entering the required parameters.

The K2 is dead..... succesor was M40/60 or so.
Is this a standard vGPU setup? Than its always the same.... for sure you have to install the nvidia VIB.

First check hardware configuration, status of Graphics. It must be shown there if physically setup is true
Download the related driver (.vib) and copy it inside your datastore
execute /etc/init.d/xorg stop in shell access. After put the host in Maintenance Mode, install associated driver by running:
esxcli software vib install -d /vmfs/volumes/_datastore_name/_path_of_VIB_bundle_file. (It may require restart the host)
With shell access, execute nvidia-smi . Command will show you information about NVIDIA graphic device If your driver is correct.https://docs.nvidia.com/grid/latest/grid-vgpu-release-notes-vmware-vsphere/index.html#bug-200524348-...
At last do /etc/init.d/xorg start .
Also require NVIDIA Grid subscription license to activate your vGPU for solutions like VDI (Horizon View)
