Restarted one host, after upgrading..then the other several minuites later.
When they came back online, VCenter showed one host as disconnected.
If I right click & try to reconnect, I get:
The VMware vSphere 5 Essentials license for Host <IP ADDRESS of HOST> does not include vSphere vMotion. Upgrade the license.
We have Essentials, without VMotion
I tried restarting the agents via the console as root, but no help.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Rich
It's in the host's Network Configuration, where you can find the VMkernel port groups and their settings.

Please check whether one of the host's VMkernel adapters has vMotion enabled, and disable it.

looking in here, is that right?:

Just found the VMotion enabled setting on the VSwitch for host#1.
Was able to add the other host#2 to vcenter.
Thanks much for the pointers.
