vSphere crash dump collector in vCenter 6 appliance

Hello,

I am attempting to get the crash dump collector up and running on the vCenter appliance in version 6.  Looking at the configuration steps below it does not appear they have been updated for vCenter 6:

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&docTypeID=DT_KB_1_1&externalId=2...

Specifically, I am not able to browse to configuration options on the vcenter appliance by using port 5480, eg:

https://myvcenter6.mydomain.ca:5480

Just in case anyone else is looking for the configuration I have found it within the standard vsphere web client (9443) administration -->System configuration --> services --> VMware vsphere ESXi core dump collector.

From there, set the service to automatic startup, and started the service.

This appears to be correct from the collector side, I then putty'd into the ESXi6 host and ran the commands here:

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&docTypeID=DT_KB_1_1&externalId=2...

This appears to complete successfully, however when I test the configuration it is timing out.  Does anyone know of any additional steps?  Is there a firewall port I need to open?

Thanks,

Duncan.

I deployed the vRealize log insight virtual appliance in order to perform this function instead.  Not sure the vCenter appliance is meant to be used as a crash dump collector.
