Vcenter high cpu usage after setting DRS rules

Hello guys,

today we tried to set up DRS rules, to make our life a bit easier, when we have to move all machines to one host, so we can turn off the other one and after that we have to migrate machines back where they were. With over 150 VMs, it's hard to remember where which VM was working, so we tried to make DRS rules.

But after we made rules, enabled them and ran DRS check, vcenter stopped responding. Linux machine with vcenter running on (appliance), had 100% CPU usage for almost 2 hours, before we realized, that this problem won't be fixed on it's own.

After vcenter came back online, we disabled DRS rules for virtual machines, to avoid any further problems for the day.

Does anyone have any idea, why this happened, or where we could get some kind of log, to see for more details about that?

Anyone had similar problems before?
