Certificate issue in Vcenter

We are facing a certificate issue in Vcenter . Earlier our Vcenter name was 'vb1tglvcsrv02' but we renamed it later as 'vb1tglvcsrv01'. The vcenter is running fine but its showing an certificate issue. We have reinstalled the vcenter & sso but still showing the same problem. The snapshot is attached.

Hi,

what version are you running?

Also, how did you replace which certificates?

What are your browser telling you if you open your web client? Is that certificate correct?

There are more certificates than only the vcenter certificate. Each component has its own.

Maybe its your update manager certificate.

Good reading

Thanks for your answer

We are running 5.1 . While accessing from the web the new one is redirecting to the old one. But there is no entry in anywhere in DNS or AD. The vcenter is performing absolutely fine but only this certificate error is showing.

Then, you did not replace all certificates of your installation.

Maybe you only change the vcenter certificate, but not the webclient, update manager, inventory etc

1. WebClient -- Not changed because of what you are writing it shows the old one

2. SSO? Please open https://vCenterName:7444/lookupservice/sdk and see if it shows up your new cert

3. Inventory Service? Please open https://YourvCenterServer:10443 and see if it shows up your new cert

For all other certs, i recommend reading the blog post that i told you.
