swapping mouse buttons in guest changes host!

Guest and Host both running Windows 10 with Workstation 12.5

In the GUEST I use control panel to swap the mouse buttons - then VMWare applies some false intelligence and swaps the mouse buttons on the HOST too.

The opposite happens to.

How do I prevent this feature?

I need to be able to change mouse buttons in the GUEST and not have them change on the host or the other way around too.

Are you logging into both the host and the guest using a Microsoft account?  If so, the instructions on the following page should allow you to keep separate settings for the host and the VM: About sync settings on Windows 10 devices - Windows Help -
