start VM via command line in unity mode

Hi,

i need a little bit help. I'm using VMWare Workstation 6.5.1 on Vista x64.

I created 2 cmd files:

vmrun start c:\myvm.vmx

vmrun suspend c:\myvm.vmx

both are working fine, but when i wakeup the vm from suspend mode i want to switch over to the unity mode automatically.

Has anyone a idea how to do this ?

thanks

Hi,

I'm trying to do the same thing.

I've tried the three ways to do this that I know of: vmrun method you described, vmware-unity-helper, and using VIX to do the suspend/start's. None of these methods panned out.

Hopefully they'll sort out this functionality in a future update. Using vmrun in the manner you described provides the expected functionality in Fusion...

Did you ever figure out a workaround?

Cheers,

Peter
