VM Workstation 12 (and 11) eats up memory

no probem up to VMware WS 10,

the problem started with 11 und continous with 12.

The memory is (sometimes) totaly filled up with cache data.

As soon it is full, the PC gets really slow.

htop shows that all of my 8GB are filled with cache data (only one VM is running at this time)

Host is Linux and Guest another Linux.

My workaround is to enter a cronjob which executes this line every minute:

sh -c "sync; echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches"

this removes cached data and avoids locking the PC.

(Another alternative is to put 32GB Ram into the PC)

I think VMware should look for this cache problem.
