Ubantu server installation 64 bit blank screen

I am setting up new VM ubantu server 14 using VMware® Workstation 7.1.0 build-261024 in Windows 7. I have bios Virtualization and VT enabled but once i select the Ubantu Vm lang and click on install ubantu server.. I get blank screen with single cursor...any help?

I am attaching the log file with ths.

Welcome to the Community,

did you already try to install the VM without using the "Easy install" feature, i.e. selecting "I will install the operating system later" in the New VM wizard?

Yes, I follwed the same way as well but same error...

I can't tell you for sure whether this could be a compatibility issue,since Ubuntu 14 is officially supported only in Workstation 10. However, I downloaded the installation image and started the installation on Workstation 8 (I don't have an older version available anymore), which presented me the language selection for the installation right away.

To ensure the installation image isn't corrupt, please verify its MD5 checksum (CA2531B8CD79EA5B778EDE3A524779B9  ubuntu-14.04.1-server-amd64.iso).
