Remote Display (Workstation 6.5.1)

Hi,

I am having an issue with "Remote Display" and the keyboard functions not working correctly, Both the Host and Client and the maching i'm connecting from are set to English UK Keyboard layout and everything works fine if i use RDP, but if i use VNC when i type a \ i get #. I have read lots about editing the keymap file but i can't find it.

I am running VMWare Workstation 6.5.1

Client: Windows Server 2003

Host: Windows Server 2008

Connecting From: Vista

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

David Guillaume

Shutdown the VM and then add the line to the end.

No, this line does not appear by default.

Do you have the following line in your .vmx file?

RemoteDisplay.vnc.keymap = "uk"

No, can i just add this to the bottom and restart the VM?

Should this appear by default?

Also i can't copy and paste even though vnc supports it? is this a limitation of VMWare or a setting maybe?

Doesn't work for me although I've never investigated why.
