Lpt port on PCI card Moschip 9835

VMware Workstation 6.0

Host: Windows XP

Guest: Windows 98

I have a problem with access to lpt port (on PCI card Moschip 9835) from guest. ("Cannot open VMparport driver for LPT3").

The ports com3,com4 on PCI and lpt1 on mainboard work correctly at guest.

Does anybody use vmware with Moschip 9835 lpt port and can help me.

I may be wrong but I don't know if parallel ports on additional pci-cards work at all.

Can't you use something like this ?

I'm also using a card with Moschip: USB---> COM/LPT.

Vmplayer also can not detect LPT port.
