Host is windows 8.1 and is airgapped. Therefore it cannot download vmware tools itself and you have to provide them manually.
Windows 7 has been installed in a VM using Easy Install.
VMware tools have been installed to the VM by connecting the windows.iso extracted from the following archive previously downloaded from here:
https://softwareupdate.vmware.com/cds/vmw-desktop/ws/16.1.2/17966106/windows/packages/tools-windows....
Despite the installation being complete, it still produces this annoying popup in every boot:
VMware Tools for this virtual machine have not been found on your computer. Without VMware Tools, Easy Install will not fully complete. There may be a version available online; would you like to download and install VMware Tools if found? Download and Install or Cancel
How do you get rid of it?
