Greetings --
Sorry if this is a repost -- here is the issue
I am trying to restore a win/me system in a vm. I have a Ghost 9 backup of it. I Created an empty vm and
tried to restore it using the ghost cd. The system started, but just stoped at the point were it was examining the "system"
It stood that way for 20 minutes untill I stop it. I thought I did this with an early verison of workstation ( I am running with 6.5.3 )
Did I miss something with this process?
Thanks
Frank
next things I would try ...
- add even more RAM
- remove 3d and USB support
- remove the SCSI-controller
if that does not help try to run it as a WS 6.0 compatible VM
what is the exact name of that iso ? - is it based on PE or DOS ? - I don't remember right now.
Do you need to recover a *.gho file or do you have a different extension ?

did you assign enough RAM and set the guestOS type to winnetenterprise while trying to boot that CD ?

I changed the os to winnetenterprise and the ram is at 512mb ... The results ware the same.
I tried to boot the cd on an old laptop with 500mb of ram and it start fine.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated
Frank

Removing the floppy did not make a difference .... I thought that there might be an issue with the iso image, so I used CD and its still
remained the same .... just sitting with the solid line at the bottom of the screen saying "please wait"
