Hello,
I have few workstations, and the same problem occured in each of them.
When my vmware network adapter is in "bridge" mode, i can not ping/connect to the physcal computer that the workstations sits in him.
In the CMD i see "destination host is unreachable".
The funny thing, is that i can ping/connect to others physical computer at my home network, and the router too.
Also i can ping between the workstations.
When i change the vmware network adapter to"NAT" mode, so everything is OK, and i can connect even to physcal computer that the workstations sits in him.
Any suggestions ?
Hi,
You could try to connect them to a customize by you new network with the same ip range and mask that your physical pc. That should do the trick.

Even if i give an static IP to the vm stations, they cant connect to the local PC.
...I think I won't know how to help you then...sorry. If in Bridged mode, then the checkbox for replicate the physical adapter conf. should be checked and then "Repair" from windows tray icon the conection (it will release/renew the ip address, etc).
If still doesn't work...maybe you could take a look at this.
Hope that you can solve your problem!

The subnet is the same.
By the why, what "replicate physucal network connections state" do ?
I can ping from the pyshycal computer to the vm stations.
Also when i'm running an "IP SCAN" (software) on my vmware, he cant recognize this physical computer. . .
Does your physical host run Windows 7? Maybe there's a firewall rule in place which blocks traffic from the VM across the VMware Bridge Protocol.
André
WIN 7, but i didnt notice any special block rules in the inbounds . . .
Momentarily stopping the Firewall service in both VM and physical host is an "easy way" to quicly discard it as the source of the problem or look deeper in to it...
