can't ctrl-c vmplayer 2.5.3 in linux

I'm running the latest vmplayer 2.5.3 in Centos 4 update 5 and am unable to kill the process using ctrl-c for VM that is playing. I want to be able to kill the session regardless of its state.

I get this error:

^C

(vmplayer-daemon:8347): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_source_unref: assertion `source != NULL' failed

Any ideas wha the problem could be?

Break the entire VM when pressing Ctrl+C?

Don't you want to be able to break a process in your running VM using that keyboard shortcut?

You can kill your VM using kill --

Yes, it's a VM that does not need to be brought up again. It is involved in an automated process that only uses the VM once. I know I can kill it using other methods, but was wondering about the error that it was giving me.
