VMWARE PLAYER installation failed:

When installing VMWARE PLAYER 4.0 onto my 32 bit XP desktop, I get this error:

The MSI'C:LOCALS~1\Temp\vmware_1351632206\vmwareplayer_x86.msi' failed

I tried downloading the install package again and it gave the same error message during installation.

Installation failed.

can you confirm that your hardware meets the Installation Requirements for VMware Player 4 (these are the same as for VMware Workstation 8). If not you may only use VMware Player 3.x on your system.
